The primary role of the Neptune Public Order Response Unit is to help alleviate and mitigate risk to public safety within designated areas of the community.

This model is strategically designed to complement existing public services including Police, Ambulance, Transit, Public Housing Safety , and Larrakia Nation (in the Darwin region) to achieve public safety and security measures.

Our team is a blend of highly trained officers with K9 handling experience, advanced first aid, crowd control, de-escalation and cultural awareness. In many cases have a history in the armed forces or law enforcement.

 

They are multi-faceted and take a holistic approach to service delivery through de-escalating anti-social behaviour, reporting anti-social behaviour to relevant authorities, building rapport with the community, offering access to outreach groups, and escorting social services to high-risk environments, including providing Paramedics additional security whilst in attendance.
